About John Rodriguez, Director of Therapy
While attending Alvin Junior College, John was inducted into Who's Who in American Junior Colleges (1970). He attended Stephen F. Austin University (B.A., 1972), and joined the US Navy in 1974. He graduated with honors from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey CA (1975) and worked for Naval Security.
John was introduced to massage in 1986 while competing in Triathlons and Marathons. After a couple of good experiences with the clothes on, focused techniques we call Neuromuscular Therapy, John began taking clients in 1989 as he developed Massage Therapy Houston and Neuromuscular Therapy Houston
Anastasia is a native Houstonian. She graduated from Texas School of Massage
in 2009. She has worked at Baker Botts doing corporate chair massage for the
past six years, and also at Rice University. She has a varied clientele roster
consisting of musicians, lawyers, athletes, and the everyday man. Anastasia's
clients say that her calming aura, talented hands, and knowledgeable expertise
are a few of the attributes that her make her the "real deal".
Donald became a licensed massage therapist through Avalon School of Massage shortly after moving to Houston in 2013. Donald’s degree and career with dance directly informs his massage therapy practice by pairing his kinesiology and movement training to approach his work on athletes and dancers. His training under noted massage therapists Randy Greer, Kenneth Newby, and John Rodriguez has primed his modalities: Deep Tissue, Thai massage, Swedish Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, TMJD and Myofascial Release. He has had the pleasure to work with companies such as, Masters Upper Level Dance Company, METdance and the Houston Grand Opera. He is excited to enter his second year with Massage Therapy Houston.
